True Lies 03:12
If I stood up to your eyes, would I see the truth in all your lies or would I stand in wonder and awe? Content to be bewildered by the things that I saw. Oh but I know, and I see. The lies in the truth that you gave me. and I see, that you don't know... Where the lies in the truth are hiding. Well if I stood up to your shoes... Would I always follow the paths that you choose? Or would I break away form the chains free myself from the bonds that you made? Oh but I know, and I see. The lies in the truth that you gave me. and I see, that you don't know... Where the lies in the truth got to show oh oh oh. But I know that when we see the truth we lets the lies flow. And you think you know, but you don't. I know because I don't know. and if you do you do and if you try we do and I will say eh tu? And if you try you can say you do. I say eh tu? I'll say eh tu?

Sometimes 02:58
Sometimes I feel Sometimes I'm numb Sometimes I can't wait for the future to come, sometimes I want to run. Well you can't run and you can't hide when that truth inside is denied, I've tried Sometimes that iron glows red melodies flow, from inside my head. Fleeting, keeping of effervescent memories alive bubbling up until the day until the day I die. Seeking, reaping every single seed you plant, the only thing to stop you is when you say you can't. Well you can't run and you can't hide when that truth inside is denied, I've tried. I tried, I try. and I do , until the day I die.

Rolling: He says to me, forget about misery I want to see what the blind men see. I hear your words, but I don't seem to learn their meaning Sing me a song I'll follow along without thinking. Sing to me a bittersweet melody, I want to sing when the deaf men sing. Singing slow songs sweet, singing them all day When thew swift wind blows, we all know those clouds blow away He says to me where is the victory how can you win when you can;t even see from the heart where do I start, tearing down the walls of animosity only then will you see me gain when the deaf sing and the blind only then will you see me again, when the blind see and the deaf sing. Singing slow songs sweet, singing them all day When thew swift wind blows, we all know those clouds blow away

Time keeps on slipping It's 1986, baseball cards and garbage pail kids metal lunch box, still ate cheese whiz Processed foods but hey we were still kids Got that capri sun frozen overnight kept shit cold, still laden with parasites didn't know no better that's how it is Thrift store Christmas and Santa? Yeah I doubted him. Skateboards and bones brigade sweats shredded tennis shoes from learning new tricks First kiss? Yeah. her name was Jessica Life when I was ten, where went the rest of it? I've got nostalgia coursing through my veins Memories they slip away, those memories of yesterday Time keeps on slipping Memories of yesteryear, those memories they slip away, they slip away. They slip away now, they slip away now. They slip away. Time keeps on slipping, slipping, slipping, slipping, slipping, slipping, slipping, slipping, slipping, slipping. Another year gone forever, sipping slush puppies by 7-11 School highlight? It was Oregon Trail dysentery every time it never ever fail Forging streams and telling tall tales, school of hard knocks, no wonder I'm tough as nails Calvin and Hobbes sporting Jimmy'z, learning to Ollie and wearing stussy Casio keyboards and fresh cassette mixes, still use duct tape for half of my fixes. Fat Boys on the beatbox, booming on the boombox regret and bad thoughts, all can go kick rocks. I've got nostalgia coursing through my veins Memories they slip away, those memories of yesterday. Time keeps on slipping Memories of yesteryear, those memories they slip away, they slip away. They slip away now, they slip away now. They slip away. Time keeps on slipping, slipping, slipping, slipping, slipping, slipping, slipping, slipping, slipping, slipping.

I know that I can never fly No matter how hard I ever try. I can practice all day and every night But I won’t grow wings and I can’t take flight I could try all the things But I can’t fly, I can barely sing I have no feathers or other bird things I’m not birdlike or a little birdling I’ve got no beak I can’t squawk So why try to be that which I’m not You could give me directions and explain But I won’t fly today But if I dream and think I can, I can build a plane And fly away You can’t swim like a fish So don’t think this Is the way you should be swimming in the sea You can’t pollenate the flowers or populate the trees You’re not the birds you’re not the bees bzzz bzzzz So just be What it was you were meant to be Be genuine and be true Be you. & never forget To be free too.

Elements 03:50
I am the wind, as I wander around I move the world, but I can't touch the ground I am the stone, but I want more I want to be the ocean when I am the shore I want to I want to I want to be the sky I want to be the clouds up above, I want to be alive I want to I want to I want to be sky I want to be the wind up above the clouds, I want to be alive You are the wind I am the cloud billowing and raining down You are the stone, I am the ground I'll be here when you break down You are the sun you are the moon when you go dark, I'll be out soon. You are the ocean, against my shore Everything you are to be, you are and more I am the roots you are the tree I am the wind underneath the wings I move the world and you with it Earth, wind, water fire, all the elements. When the moon sets upon the sea what if I forget what it was I was to be as water I condense I become the cloud It all makes percent sense, as I rain down. I want to I want to I want to be the sky I want to be the clouds up above, I want to be alive I want to I want to I want to be sky I want to be the wind up above the clouds, I want to be alive

Tabula Rasa means clean slate. After exploring genres, instruments, production approaches I have explored the reaches of the sonic landscape that feels good. I hope this exploratory investigation into lofi beats is inspiring and stays on repeat.

about

King Nobody California

King Nobody seeks to allegorize and proselytize the ego by proxy of his characters, strapping in with a giant, howling harmonica that springs from a lo-fi well, nested in Americana and psych folk, with a vocal timbre akin to Damon Albarn and temperament abreast of Les Claypool. ... more
